Edale to Hope, March 2011

A walk from Edale to Hope via Ringing Roger, Crookstone Hill and Win Hill, in a howling gale.

The weather included sun, rain, hail and winds gusting at motorway speeds.

Immediately in front of us is a clough leading to Rowland Cote. The railway skirts the foot of Lose Hill on the way to Hope; Win Hill rises up left of shot.

A none too pretty picture from a good angle. The ridge from Hollins Cross comes in from the left; the iron age rampart round the top of the hill is easily visible; the road through Mam Nick is to the right of the hill. The ridge continues off to the right up to Rushup Edge.
